Blanca Garcia – Admin/Trip Cordinator/Advocate
After working as a wedding photographer in Austin for over 4 years, I decided to shift my steps a little. Over the past few years, God has been stirring my heart to serve the global poor. In January and February, I was able to travel around the globe with my roommate, visiting missionaries and non-profits who were working with the poor and the oppressed. It was during the planning of this trip that I met the HELP team and my friend and I were able to visit the children’s home they are partnered with in Zimbabwe. My time in Zim was incredible, and it certainly challenged and strengthened my faith.
I love HELP’s heart and passion to rescue orphans, restore their hope and renew their communities, and I am so excited to now be a part of their staff! I can’t wait to use my skills and gifts to serve HELP and to encourage others to take action in caring for orphans and widows.
